Split MP3 into tracks for recording

DeJarnett

Question

I have several speeches recorded as MP3. I would like to burn these to disk, but since some are over an hour, they need to be broken into tracks before burning. Within Roxio, I'm not seeing a way to do this.

I have an MP3 splitter, but this is a hassle because for each file the MP3 must be broken up into many tracks and saved before burning. I was hoping that a program as advanced as Roxio would be able to split the MP3 into tracks at burn time. In other words, I'd just tell it to split into tracks of 4 minutes or however long each and then burn the disk and let Roxio take care of the temporary split files and cleanup.

If this is not possible with Roxio, does anyone have a suggestion for another program that does this well?

Thanks.

Pop open Sound Editor and you can do just what you want. I strongly suggest using the Help section and use the Search function and type in 'split' and you'll get a quick answer.

Trial and error is the best and once you've done it, it couldn't be easier.
