change button frames

Hi there

I have DVDit6, I can't find a manual or a forum specific to DVDit 6, is there any?

 

My question is how to change button frames images.

At the moment I can only use a frame from the clip linked to that button frame, but I would like to be able to use any image ie a logo jpeg format.

I'm sure its something very easy that I'm missing.

when you import an image into the images section of the palette, it created a corresponding "button image". So, import your image. Go to the Buttons tab. Use the pulldown filter at the top of the palette to select "Button images" and then drag your button image onto the thumbnail on your menu...or vice a versa, drag the button image to your menu and then drag a title/chapter onto that button image.

no, the frames reflect what you have framed. no way to scale or crop the content inside of the frame. you can drag the edges of the frames to resize them, but the content will maintain it's aspect ratio and will change with the drag.

To expand on the question, Any way to "reframe" or crop a frame grab other than exporting it to a photo editing app and cropping/masking there?
