No Sound From Burned Cd

slacamoire

Question

I recently burned some audio files from iTunes onto a CD-R using Toast 6.1.1. The problem is that there is no sound when I try to play the CD. When I insert the CD, the correct file names appear, and when I press play, I can see the time counter moving as though it's playing the first song. But no sound...This has happened in the past with other discs, but it doesn't happen all the time (even though I use the same brand of disc everytime--Sony CD-R). Can anyone help? Thanks!!

Apple informed Roxio awhile back that third party applications such as Toast are no longer allowed to bypass the copy protection on iTunes Music Store Tracks. Apple has made this impossible with various updates to iTunes and QuickTime, and Toast also cannot do it since Toast 6.0.9. iTunes Music Store tracks can only be burned to audio CD with iTunes. If you currently cannot burn discs from within iTunes then consider getting Patchburn that often can enable iTunes burn support to non-Apple drives.
