barryware
I got an e-mail stating that there was a new response to a thread that I was subscribed to here in General Discussion. gi7omy
Hard to say - sometimes posts get pruned - other times the OP removes a post. I've seen that happen a few times and found a dead link. Annoying I admit but offhand I wouldn't know who removed it or even why

ggrussell
OP=original poster. Pruned meaning that the administrator thought a message didn't belong where it was posted so the message was moved or created a new thread for that discussion. james_hardin
What is an OP? Pruned? Hmmmm. OP = Original Poster Pruned = Tree trimming, aka deleted Sometimes the board does not act as expected and more or all, is lost in the process. barryware
How would the "OP" go about deleting the post?
gi7omy
There should be a couple of buttons under your posts - edit and delete
barryware
There should be a couple of buttons under your posts - edit and delete Don't see it. Just Edit, Quote, & Reply. Can't find delete under either quick edit or full edit. Couldn't find it under My Controls or My Assistant either. Where can I find it?
gi7omy
Maybe I'm thinking of the two edits - wiping the text off a post would delete - never tried so I don't know
barryware
Well then.... It seems that the OP = Original Poster can't delete the thread. So the thread must have been Pruned = Tree trimming, aka deleted. There you have it. Must have hit a nerve or something.. Huh

So the thread must have been Pruned = Tree trimming, aka deleted. There you have it. Must have hit a nerve or something.. Huh Were you mean? Looking through the 25 out of the 39 you are listed as having, I see no indication of any reason your post would have been deleted. It is odd that only 25 show up… That would indicate that 14 have bit the dust yet there is nothing in the holding area where deleted posts are kept! I do not think anyone deleted your post(s) intentionally. I tend to think it was inadvertent or (my personal favorite) a board error. If it was a topic of concern to you, please start a new one. sknis
Well then.... It seems that the OP = Original Poster can't delete the thread. So the thread must have been Pruned = Tree trimming, aka deleted. There you have it. Must have hit a nerve or something.. Huh An OP can only delete their own posts and cannot delete a post that starts a thread unless there are no responses. So I'd probably guess a computer glitch. Usually the only types of posts that are pruned are those where there is a personal attack on another poster, a post that would be considered threatening, or a post that promotes other software where the Roxio program has the same functionality. Recommending other software in itself is not considered bad if Roxio can't do the job. You see posts for VideoRedo, Gold Wave and others. Did the missing posts fall into any of those categories? Were you trying to hit a nerve? If so, maybe you did but there would be no way of knowing who deleted the post. It would have to be someone from Roxio. They are usually pretty lenient but they do pay for the board. Believe it or not, there are people who post on this board who work for "competitors". Roxio can resolve the addresses and may send a pm to the person suggesting that they not post or simply ban them. this doesn't seem to be the case with you. Click on search at the top of the board and put your handle on the right side. It will show where you posted. Note there will probably not be 39 entries beacuse it will not show spearate entries if you put more than one post in a thread. PS I sometimes forget to hit the submit button or hit the back button in editing a reply. The board will lose them.

I do not think anyone deleted your post(s) intentionally. I tend to think it was inadvertent or (my personal favorite) a board error. If it was a topic of concern to you, please start a new one. I'm not going to start a war because the thread was started by a guy named Mark who was concerned about the lack of response by Roxio on his support ticket. I replied to him with my experience. No opinion, no conjecture, just the facts. Then some knuckle head ( you know who you are ) decided to get a bit cocky. So I got a little cocky back. Then magically, the thread dis-appeared. Doesn't really matter to me. The arrogance of certain people (again, you know who you are) on this board that are entrusted with moderation power makes me angry. We are all here for the same reason. We need help. Roxio's support seems non existent so users turn to the forums for help. As I have stated before, a negative statement aimed at Roxio gets taken personally by some of the "Guru's" (again, you know who you are), not all, but some. The guy who deleted the thread knows who he is and knows that I know. No more to be said. However I will except a confession and an apology. grandpabruce
B.S. Yes... I am referring to you. You were pretty quick to deny deleting the thread... The one who smelt it, dealt it! It would not necessarily have been Daithi, who deleted it. If you were being a jerk, which is quite possible, a Roxio moderator could have deleted the entire thread, if it was not a constructive thread.
