Easy Media Creator suite 9

kgresko

Question

I just purchased the subject product. After I rebooted and attempted to launch the program the start splash screen just sits there and my PC freezes requiring me to reboot the PC :) .

I am running an Intel Core2 Duo processor with 2GB of memory and 100 GB hard drive, with Windows Media Center OS. I just received this PC and there are not too many things installed as of yet on it.

Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update your video drivers - no matter how new a machine is, the drivers will always be out of date. Go to the card maker's website for the latest

Also, make sure you do NOT have IE7 or WMP11 on your machine. Both those are causing problems

Additionally, download and install the latest DirectX from Microsoft (9.0c Dec release)

With all due respect. I believe it is Roxio's obligation to enable their product to work with IE 7 and WMP 11!!!!!!!

I did the other things you suggests and the program will still not launch.

It's more MS's responsibility to stop adding things that wreck other apps really.

They keep making changes to the way the OS works and messing up a lot of stuff. Typical is the 'Buffer Overrun error' That actually killed my AV program and it also is affecting Roxio programs - so in my mind the blame lies squarely at the OS

IE7 wrecked more than just Roxio programs - it hit others as well

WMP11 has tightened up DRM - so stuff that previously played now won't

Who changed the playing field?
