HOW TO COPY VIDEO FILES TO DISK

Cold Steel

Question

I can't imagine why Creator Classic doesn't allow me to copy VIDEO_TS folders and why I am forced to use Disc Copier. First, I don't like Disc Copier and should be allowed to use the Creator Classic program if I want to. Second, when I search for my folder containing the video files, I can't select them. I go all over everything on both sides and can't select a thing. I hit "Okay" and nothing happens. Finally I hit "Cancel" and go back to Creator Classic 9, then I copy over the files, create a folder called VIDEO_TS and drag my files into that folder.

Why doesn't the Disc Copier work? Why can't I use whatever program I want? What's it to Roxio which program I use? How about only a popup telling me I can also use Disc Copier, and a box to check telling it never to show me that message again?

I regret ever buying this #$^@ upgrade.

Can someone help?

I fail to see why law would force Roxio to do this. Copy protection is a part of almost every commercial disk sold. I also fail to see why Disc Copier won't allow me to select any files. I click on the icons and nothing.

Oh, and how does one ensure that UDF is used? Many of my disks won't play, except on my computer.

Thanks!

If you are trying to copy a commercial DVD movie, it is against the law in the US and Canada to do so. It is also against the law for any software company, based in the US or Canada, to sell software that breaks encryption.

True. Since the Roxio software does not break encyption, why does it need to keep users from copying folders entitled VIDEO_TS? And how does one set the file system to UDF?

Ooops, found out how. Turns out that's the default. I must have an old player here. The old one was skipping and stopping. Maybe I should pay more for my next player.

Again, need help in Disc Copier, anyone. It won't let me select anything. Am I the only one with this problem? Also, my Roxio 6 doesn't seem to work anymore. Can I have both versions on my system? Thanks, again!
