Spin Doctor not saving tracks

NaCl H2O

Question

I open an aiff file, and use Spin Doctor to make tracks. I then save the file, and close Spin Doctor. When I re-open the file, the tracks are no longer there. This happens with Spin Doctor 3 (in Toast 7) as well as Spin Doctor 4 (in Toast 8). It works fine with Spin Doctor 2 (in Toast 6). I am running 10.4.8 on a MacBook Pro. Any ideas or suggestions?

I am experiencing a related problem. SD 3.1t will not auto-define tracks for me.

I recorded an LP side and tried to use the auto-define track feature, but no matter what setting I choose in the SD preferences, there is only a single 17+ minute track for the whole side. There should be 4 separate tracks i.e., songs.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The SD Help says to set the sensitivity to +71, but the setting only goes up to + 0.330. Something appears out of whack with this version I paid for with Toast Titanium 7!

Any useful advice is appreciated, since I am excited to begin converting my extensive and rare LP collection to digital media. I would prefer not to have to resort to manually selecting the tracks everytime.

Thanks,

Mike

Sorry, I can't help you there. I do not use auto-define because I have not found it to be accurate.

I found a thread in the Toast 7 section about Spin Doctor not saving tracks, so I am going to hop on to that one.

Thanks. I went back to the SD version 3.0.1 from my Toast 7 CD and it works correctly. Roxio should look into the version that is included with their update, but from experience they don't appear very customer friendly, except of course when it comes bombarding their customers with "But it now!! ' SPAM. Isn't just one email enought Roxio?!

Now back to working with my LPs :).

Cheers
