Slide Show With Two Songs In Background

I was wondering if you can make a slide show with photos and have two different songs to play in the back ground one right after the other. I want to have around 50 photos. 25 of them to go throught the slide show with one song and then the remaining 25 with a different song but to put them all on the same disc. When I tried this it seems as tho it just loops the first song I used a CD-R. Then tried with a CD-RW but when I tried to put the second song on it overrode the first one. Is there any way to have both songs on the disc?

Do you have Easy CD Creator 6 Platinum or basic? If you have sound editor you merge two songs together and save it in a music folder, then in DVD Builder you can add that merged music to your slideshow in the handle just before your movie. Please let me know if this makes sense to you? Do you have a manuel for v6? If not go into help, it should give you instructions on merging audio. You do need Audio Central, however, to do this. I had the same question, except I wish to add a total of twelve songs to run through the entire slide show. I have Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 version 6.2.0.110 . I have gone through the Sound editor as suggested and see no instructions how to merge tracks. I would guess that I need to create a playlist of the songs and import the playlist. Then possibly a merge tool will appear?

Is Roxio 8 any better than this? I had the same lack of intelligent design with ECDC 5.

I have been going over my v6 manual because it has been so long since I have used v6. I think you can do the merging while making playlist. Try right clicking on the various songs and there should be an option to merge. Your question about newer versions, yes they are easier to add multiple audio because they have a timeline mode which includes multiple tracks for adding audio. If I get a chance later today, I will go into v6 and play with it and see if I can merge the audio. I remember it took me quite a long time, when I first started using v6, to figure out how to use merge the songs. Of course I was really new with both the program, DVD creating and computers in general, so I was fairly slow at learning. I absolutely love v7/7.5 and I am getting use to v8. I would recommend that you post your computer specs before thinking of v8. V8 is far more critical with needing updated drives and more advanced video cards. If you post your specs, others on the board can take a look and see if what you have would work with v8.

I will try and get back with you later today about the merging of audio tracks.

I have found the merge track option. It is in ECDC 5. I can't understand how the upgrades have managed to drop some great features. Volume leveling got shifted out to the player. Track mereging was dropped completely.... I'm going to have to use someone else's version 8 before I waste good money on it.

So if anyone wants to create a sound track for your DVD you simply need to use the track mergeing feature in ECDC 5 to merge enough music to equal the length of your slide show. Or at least songs you don't mind repeating themselves... Of course this requires that you kept ECDC 5 or ever had it.... Have a system that will run it (WIN 98) and don't let your frustration with Roxio get in your way......

The merge feature is in ECDC 5 Platinum. It is NOT in ECDC 5 Basic. (It is still possible to buy ECDC 5 on eBay, altho the last time I looked there weren't enough copies being sold to set a price.)

If you have V.6 Basic, it probably does not have the merge feature. If you have V.6 Platinum, as nanaoneal says, it is there.

Oh - and do NOT consider EMC 7, 7.5, or 8 UNLESS you have a minimum of Win2000 SP4 or WinxP SP1.

This might explain it better, I found this answer in another post.

Use audio central. then open sound editor. once there insert one song then right click and select move cusor to end of file then insert your next song and continue this till all songs added. then select all and then save selection. save as a mp3 and then add to the slide show..dont forget to stretch the the pics to end with music.
