Unable to edit chapters.

Tomhh

Question

Upgraded to mydvd suite premier.

After loading movie in videowave or MyDVD, I click to highlight the movie and then click edit chapters.

In videowave, the icon of the movie comes up but has a lock on it.

When I click 'Go' for automatic chapters, nothing happens except the go sign changes to stop. Nothing else happens.

Any ideas appreciated.

I'm running XP SP2 and have upgraded to IE 7 and windows media player 11.

That lock on the icon to the right simply means that that is start of the first chapter and can't be changed.

There is a glitch in the Home menu page that does not allow some functions to work properly. I have the same problem as you do and I have a problem using pan and zoom where some of the preview windows don't show up.

Try this, I did and it worked. Open Video Wave or MyDVD using the Windows > Start> Programs> Roxio EMC 9> Video > VideoWave or MyDVD. Add your movie and try doing the chapters again. It does work but it also takes a few seconds to really start creating the chapters.

If this works for you, you might want to create desktop shortcuts for the programs you use the most.

Get rid of WMP11; it causes problems currently. Just roll back to WMP10. IE 7 should be OK but if the above doesn't work, try rolling that back also.
