cd text using music disk creator

daveglenn13

Question

I have a business recording albums to CD and I have been recording alot of live albums for customers. (I record to hard drive first then record to cd) But when its finished It puts a real short gap between the songs. This would be fine if it were not live albums. I have my options set on disk at once (DAO). I thought that should take care of the gap between the songs but its not. Please help! what am I doing wrong.

This issue is fixed by using music disk creator. But now when I put it in my disk player the CD text does come up. (all players i use read cd text). I do have the check mark under project setting checked. and entered the name and album info. the other way I was burning the disks it worked fine but I had the other issue. Is there something else I'm missing or need to do?

Hello there .... I too have had a lot of difficulty with writing the CD Text when creating an audio disc. I had been able to do this on my older PC with EMC 5, but have been unable to do this on my newer PC using EMC 9, even with "CD Text" turned ON. After nearly a year, I think I have finally figured out the problem.

My older PC used an 8x speed CD Writer, but my newer Dell PC uses a 48x HL (Hitachi/LG) discwriter. I found that if I slow down the Write Speed to 16x or less, it will correctly write the CD Text to the blank disc. Any speed higher will still write the audio tracks, but not the Text.

After the blank disc is loaded, try selecting the Write Speed to a lower setting of 16x or less, and you may find that the CD Text will be written. Let me know how it goes.....

Well now I have egg on my face.... I am now sorry to report that using Music Disc Creator (EMC 9) when writing an Audio Disc at the slower speed does -not- consistantly include the CD-Text, even when it is checked ON.

I have been trying to test with this further since my previous post, and now I get mostly audio discs with no Text. I've burned a lot of coasters trying to figure out what will consistanty write the Text, but still have no conclusions.

I'll keep working with it though....
