Manual activation process error

I have read everything I could find on this topic. I was able to get the product key through the instructions given, however, when I put that into the Product Activation window, I receive the message: "There was a problem activating your product. This could be due to: ERR_ACTIVATION_GENERAL" I have even downloaded the firefox browser as someone said this worked for them. I'm getting the same error in IE6, AOL and Firefox browsers. Any suggestions?

Glad it got sorted - but did you consider that it may just have been lag or time out on the server?

 

Enjoy using it - you probably will find there are a couple more activations needed (for 3rd party s/w) - just retry in case there's a problem

I am running the software in a HP slimline with vista-premium. I did a clean install after having problems to install the downloaded version of EMC9, The software is running ok except for the mpeg2 codec that is making the DVD burning tools unusable.
