gi7omy
Did you install Internet Explorer 7 and/or Media Player 11? Both those will wreck EMC 7 and 8 There have been problems btw with the Maddog stuff - but support for that is supposed to come from them
JoeWhatIsWrong
Yes, I am running Internet Explorer 7. I'll try uninstalling it. Thanks for the tip. re: The myDVD tool is crashing upon startup.
gi7omy
A lot were caught out by that 'update' If you like the feel of a tabbed browser, most of us here are using Firefox - it's free http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
JoeWhatIsWrong
I did uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and still had the same results. Any other ideas out there would be appreciated. Thanks.
gi7omy
Have you tried contacting Maddog on this? Unfortunately I've no way of knowing what alterations may have been made to the program (OEM variants do vary a lot as they are modified for the maker)
JoeWhatIsWrong
Yes, I contacted the OEM (Mad Dog Multimedia) and am awaiting their reply. I just noticed a similar thread related to Mad Dog and problems with creating DVD's in the "Install/Uninstall/Update" subforum within the EMC 8 forum. Seems that others have experienced the similar issues.
gi7omy
There does seem to be a problem with it - I've seen posts elsewhere on the web relating to the drive
