making slideshow reading hang

on trying to make a slideshow it wont go past reading I've been trying to do a projectjust over 1 hour long for over 24hours it just says reading & I cant oprn my disc drive either recorder is busy try later my computer is a xp hp only 12 months old.

First of all, update the drivers for your graphics card and also install the latest DirectX 9.0c from MS

 

Did you try writing an image file to the hard drive first?

 

Also - let us know your system specs (especially graphics, CPU and RAM)

Reboot, and you can get the disc out. What program did you use to try to burn the DVD?
