Need Help

DanielS

Question

Has anyone else experienced the problem where when you are editing a slideshow or something using EMC 9 Video Wave that the pictures that are in the vid start to pixilize? The problem is simply fixed by shutting down the program and opening it back up again, howevere you might have to do this 10 to 20 times in a half hour. I have recently updated both my hardware and software per the advice of EMC supprot. This didn't make a difference. Any thoughts?

Thanking you in Advance

Daniel

If this is happening in preview, I wouldn't worry too much. Preview is low definition anyway.

However, shut down any running apps (IM and so on) while you're doing it. Also, run a spyware sweep I user Lavasoft Adaware and also Spybot S&D). Again, defrgagging the drive before starting helps too. This means the captured file is contiguous and not scattered all over the place

Try a burn to a RW disc and see if it still occurs in the final output

Thanks for the suggestion, I normally keep my system draged once a week, and I have Zone Alarm and Adaware for spyware.

Again the finished product turns out great.. It's more of a hassle to have to keep closing and reopening the program to continue editing.

Thanks Daniel

Only other thing I can think of would be the graphics system - you said you updated the hardware, but did you also go to the maker's website for updated drivers? Usually cards can be floating round on shelves for a few months before they get added into a computer and the drivers could be out of date for some time

Also, update DirectX 9.0c to the latest (Feb) release from MS
