This was a surprise because I've other such Word files in My Documents) which I transferred to a CD (with, in this case, ECDC 5.2) and they came out as intended...as pictures. But 4 such Word files that I had safely on floppies and which I transferred to my HD before burning to the CD, came out (both in My Documents and on the CD. (I had not checked the floppy-to-My Documents transfer before I burned them to the CD.) Fortunately, they are still preserved on the floppy. THAT was a relief!
My question is what went wrong--why did it work with ECDC 5.2 but not with EMC 7.5, my current program? I used Creaor Classic to select my files from My Documents and to do the burning. Other picture Word files with this burning came out quite OK.
I guess I should ask what are possible causes of the Word picture files coming out as rectangles?
I should also like to ask, just so I know, when I put my burned disc in my CD-ROM and look at the contents, are those contents transferred to my HD for me to view or are they called up when I select a given picture? What happens that I can observe is that I put the disc in the CD-ROM drive and go My Computer > E drive and on the monitor there appears my 8 or 10 folders in which I've files stored. And this is when I click folders and pictures.
