The Sound Editor pauses every couple of seconds when trying to edit longer (anything over 160MB) wav. files. The transport icon does not reflect this but the image pauses also. It starts again in less than a second without having skipped anything.
The problem is not consistant and there does not seem to be any correlation to anything else. The problem (when it is occuring) starts as soon as I start the program, open a file and hit play. When the problem is not occcuring it plays fine for hours with files as long as 1GB (the longest I've tried).
The problem started after replacing the hard drive, everything else seems to work fine.
Recording works fine, burning works fine, Playing any file in preview of burning with the Create A New CD component of the program works fine.
