Question

30 days after i purchased and downloaded creator9 off the website the instalation (*msi) file is now missing. they gave me 2 keys to activate the product. the 1st when i dpwnloaded it , the 2nd key a few days later. why do u need activation keys for this product if u cant even download it again to fix a problem . isn't that the whole point of having key codes, to prove you have purchased it?

How do you mean the msi file is missing?

Did you check the download exe file (open it with winrar or winzip) and it should be in there. If it isn't, you possibly have a corrupt download.

If not, extract the file to a temporary any folder and run setup.exe from there

Any good prgram should be based on it's smiplicity of use. That's fine if you can ever get to run the program in the first place. Apparantly Roxio thinks we are all trying to steal their programs. We spend hard earned money to buy this product but when we go to use it the cd key is not enough. Now, we also have to activate everything. We, for some reason, have to prove that we actually bought this worthless application. I guess there are some government secrets embedded in some file somewhere. Excuse me for being sarcastic but I can't activate my mpeg 2 codec and they have been aware of this problem for almost a week with no answer. They should offer a refund but they won't Like Iv'e written in other posts, Apple, Nero and now Adobe have already issued patches for their products.

What don't YOU understand about unzipping the download file.

Nowhere did I say to check in temp files or anywhere else - what I did say was to EXTRACT the contents of the download self-extracting .exe file and that's where it is.

"...Did you check the download exe file (open it with winrar or winzip)..."

I repeat - if it is NOT in the download file, you have a corrupt copy
