Toast Quits after Burn / Incompatibility with iTunes?

everytime I burn a data (mac/pc) backup, toast will automatically quit before it's complete (or sometimes just after) --- I usually have a useable backup afterwards, but it doesn't show up on the desktop until I eject and reinsert it.

 

also - if itunes is open at the same time, toast will attempt to burn my backups, but then just endlessly make noise and the disc is useless. I usually have to force quit the app and reboot to get the disc out.

 

shoulda stayed with toast 7 I guess.

 

I am using an intel imac 2ghz 17" with 1gb ram.

You mean you didn't keep 7? I kept 7 just in case. Matter of fact, I used both the other day at the same time. lol
