Creating movies with menus

ihs4us

Question

I'm new at using the computer to burn DVD movies. What is the procedure, using Easy Media Creator 9, to create a disc with a menu containing severa episodes of a TV show (or several movies) so that upon playback it stops & returns to the menu at the end of each item? I will be converting from RAR (using WinRAR) to AVI, Divx, etc. then using Easy Media Creator 9 to burn to disc to play on my home theater system. Thanks in advance for input.

Perhaps this will help. Since you will already have compatible video files, use MyDVD to set up your menu and then add the compatible AVI files. They will render to mpg2 so be ready to wait. Burn the project to an iso (image) file at best quality and then copy the image file to your DVD blank using Disc Copier. It will force the project to fit on a disc (up to a point). You will have to decide how much compaction you want to live with.

Remember about 1 hour of best quality video on a DVD; up to just under 2 hours at a somewhat reduced quality. Pretty much double that for a DL DVD.

Do you have a DivX player? If so, you can copy the DivX files to a disc using Disc Copier Compilation mode. You will get a lot more on a disc.
