audio dvd track skip

jlevine31

Question

Was wondering if anybody has had the above problem? I have made several audio DVD's using toast 8 from flac files. They actually burn just fine and the menus come out correctly but when I play them on my DVD player often the tracks will skip out of order rather than going to the next one on the menu. I am afraid this may have something to do with compatibility issues with my player but was wondering if anybody had this problem and perchance found a solution? It's a pain when you're listening to an album and you all of a sudden move from the first track to the last one. I did try just making an image file and burning it but this did not seem to correct the prob.

Thanks in advance!

Jon

Mount the image file and play it with DVD player. Does it still skip at times? If not then a possibility is the DVD player is having difficulty reading the disc. Try a different brand of media and a slower burn speed. That might not be the reason, but it is worth checking into. Also, try a laser cleaning disc with your DVD player.

Thanks Tsantee-

I'll give a shot mounting the image like you suggest. I don't think though that it is the media persay or the player as I'm able to burn video_ts files on the player without any issue at all using the same DVD's. Also, I use the player quite a bit for movies/CD's and the only thing it has an issue on is these particular audio DVD's. As you say though It's worth checking out! :)
