lordpeter
I do not understand how this problem is supposed to be related to IE7. But for the record I have already tried reinstalling EMC7 after having uninstalled IE7 and (as I expected) this change had no effect on the problem. As for the contention that the game itself is somehow responsible for the problem, this has been pretty extensively discussed elsewhere, with no reasonable evidence being presented for the game being at fault. First of all, IE7 breaks EMC 7 and a multitude of other browser embedded programs. On the subject of the game, have you tried contacting Oblivion? Have you contacted Roxio? As far as the game goes, this is nothing new. There was one game I recall several years ago that would refuse to install if you had any virtual drive capability on the computer (even if it wasn't running). This was 'copy protection' Have you checked on the Bethesda forum to see if anyone else has this problem? Also they have released a beta patch to overcome some problems the game seems to be having (but aren't specific as to WHAT problems) http://software.techrepublic.com.com/downl...px?docid=251488
lynn98109
IE 7 does not get along with EMC 7 / 7.5 - it's a judgment call whether you'd prefer to remove IE 7 (apparently you were in a hurry and missed the instructions pinned on this Forum) or remove EMC 7 / 7.5 (remove via add/delete, then roxizap the leftovers). You have to contact the maker of the game to fix it. http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?...=10293=Oblivion
