POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO BURNING ISSUES

I developed a Burning Issue in October 2006 and did'nt resolve it till 2 days ago. Back in October, my Creator 6 stopped recording CD's and DVD's. I had recorded over 100 CD's and DVD for years with the different Creator Versions.

 

Then it stopped working and I'd get an Error Signature message and the CD or DVD would eject, so I upgraded to Creator 9 and got the same result. I came to this forum for answers, but still could not solve my burning problem. Now I've found a solution to my CD and DVD burning problems, I'd like to share it, so maybe it will help you too.

 

The answer was my registry was causing to problem, I used a program called RegCure, I ran it the 3 times and it found 5,216 problems in my computer. After that my Creator 9 started working again, but I did get an "incompatible format" error message using DVD-R disks and the error message went away after I switched to DVD+R disks. Now I'm burning disks like normal again.

 

The RegCure program is just one of many Registery Solution programs, try one and maybe it will solve your burning issue like it solved mine.

Glad you got it sorted - the incompatible media problem may be down to the drive itself - you could try the uninstall from Device Manager and see if that fixes it on a reboot or even try a firmware upgrade

Many of us have recommended different types of reg cleaners such as Regseeker and Ccleaner just to name 2. All the installing and uninstalling of programs can cause problems. Removing programs by using the Control Panel is not always sure to get all the little nasty bits and programs like your suggestion do help.

As with any cleaner, back up your registry first and thanks for sharing.

It's Regcure and can be found here (though one could have googled or guessed regcure.com )
