Incorrect Function?

I have several old .cif images that I made with older versions of Easy CD Creator. Although I was able to burn a CD with these with previous versions of Roxio, the new EMC9 does not appear to burn it properly. When I attempt to load the CD in Win2K, I receive a pop-up that says "Incorrect Function". In XP, the CD browse window just appears empty. Is EMC9 no longer compatible with the old .cif images?

The only module within the EMC9 suite that allowed opening a .CIF file was Creator Classic. When I opened the .CIF, it didnt have a problem with it and the burn appeared to function properly.

 

I plan to convert the few .CIF files that I have to ISO but I am afraid I may have to fall back to a previous version of Easy CD Creator to do it.

I would try one using Disc Copier than and see if that works.

The other option would be to burn the CDs using Classic and then make a .iso file from the discs - bit of a long way round for a shortcut tho.

The formats supported now are .iso, .bin/.cue and .c2d

 

You may have to get hold of isobuster or ultraiso to convert the .cif files to .iso and open them that way

What program in EMC 9 did you use to burn those .cif image files with?

Disc Copier should be able to burn them correctly.

It should Larry - but it looks in this case it won't. Possibly corrupt files but it's hard to say. That's why I suggested checking them with ultraiso

Also why I was wondering which program they burned it with. With the way Classic has changed, and some of the other DC issues we've seen, I'm just wondering if that would make a difference.
