Error while encoding Movie 1

jbuntyn

Question

:) I purchase the MYDVD 9 Premier in order to create a family CD of our vacation. But everytime I try to burn it I get "The current output device was removed. Error while encoding Movie 1" after getting to 1%. Have anyone else had this problem or have a resolution.

Couple of things to try

Defrag your hard drive before starting

Make sure your video graphics drivers are fuilly up to date

Download and install the latest DirectX 9.0c (Feb release) from MS

Also, if you installed IE7 and/or WMP11, remove them (they have been causing problems)

I updated the firmware for my DVD drive and now I can burn an image to the hard drive. After that I can use MYDVD to burn copy the image to a DVD. I still have the problem with burning the project straight to the DVD same error "The current output device was removed. Error while encoding Movie 1".

Completed the mentioned tasks and I continue to have the same issue. Any other things I can try?

Thanks.

You don't by chance have an external burner, do you? If so, look at the following URL:

No external burner.

No external burner.

Go to the search box, above right, and type in The current output device was removed. You should get some hits. I did.
