Adjust dwell time of pictures in video

Lake Nokomis

Question

I would like to lengthen the dwell time of individual still pictures in a video production. I thought I had it figured out by selecting the picture, going to "internal tracks" and dragging the boundary, but the results did not show up in the production. How do you do what should be a simple task.

By the way, if I haven't expressed it before, I am grateful for the help I have received from this forum. When I ask a question here, I have spent at least 20 minutes trying to get the answer from "help", a search of this forum, or the manual. I don't know what I would do without your help... so thanks.

You mean lengthen the duration of the picture?

Click the picture. Above the preview window, there is a box for duration. Enter the desired time to show the picture.

I'm not in front of the PC with EMC9. But I think there is an option to set the default duration for still images. In the menu bar of Videowave, check out File>Production Settings. See if there is an option to set the default duration for images.

That's where it is, Jess. I just took a look.
