cdanteek
What type of DVD disc should I use when burning movies and pics that will be compatible with most DVD players? To add to what GPB said. I have a settop DVD player that won't play any RW media at all. So check your owners manual for that. It does play -R, +R, and +R book type changed to DVD-Rom. Your burner has to support book type setting for the +R change. cd
barryware
-R's are the most compatible especially with older set top players.
gi7omy
Actually you may have to burn one of each (DVD-R and a +R) to see what your player likes I've a cheap and cheerful one here that plays anything I feed into it (even RWs) but my sister in law's top end machine is as picky as anything over what it accepts. No hard and fast rule - try it and see
