I'm using CD Spin Doctor 4.0t to break an Audio Hijack recording into separate tracks and to remove the commercials before burning it to a CD using Toast Titanium 8.0.
The problem I'm having is the edited AIFF file does not play or burn properly in Toast 8 because the track start and stop times are wrong. The problem does not occur using CDSD 3 and Toast 7. It has been present in every recording I've edited with CDSD 4 and burned with Toast 8.
I looked at the individual track timings of my last edited AIFF file and found that Toast 8 is shortening the tracks by 1 to 25 seconds, roughly proportional to the track length, compared with the track lengths shown in CD Spin Doctor v3.1 & 4 and Toast 7 which are identical.
I submitted two problem tickets to Roxio (#320918 on 2/5/07 and #321290 on 2/6/07) but neither provided much help. One suggestion was to manually drag the AIFF file into Toast 8 to see if that works. Toast 8 shows the correct total length for the file and it plays OK. However the separate track information is lost so this is not a solution.
It appears that Toast 8 is the culprit here. Luckily I can burn the edited AIFF file using Toast 7 until hopefully this is corrected. I'd be interested if anyone else has seen this problem?
