hotwings
I installed the update to Easy CD Creator 6.0 to go to 6.2.0.111 and the computer crashed, and would constantly restart. After disabling the automatic restart I got the blue screen which told me the driver cdr4_xp.sys was possibly corrupt. I copied the file to the desktop, then deleted it from the driver folder in windows/system32/drivers. The computer starts up normally now, but in device manager both of my cd/dvd drives say they cannot load the drivers. I cannot seem to update the drivers either. Can anyone help with this that may have had the same problem? Thanks a bunch.

lynn98109
Do you have AVG Anti-Virus? This is a known false-positive of AVG, one reason I have no particular interest in having AVG Anti-Virus on my computer. Lynn
hotwings
Thanks a lot. I just tried that and now I get a message stating that "the CDR4 Layer has not been detected". No, I don't have AVG. Thanks for the idea, though. Paul
