"If you perform a repair installation of Windows XP when Internet Explorer 7 is still installed, Internet Explorer will not work after the repair is completed". Still, that IS news to me. Still, that IS news to me. I have the impression that means ANY Internet Explorer. However, I've not allowed IE 7 onto my WinXP, so can't say from experience - and don't plan to! If I am to the point that XP needs a fix, the last thing that I do is the Repair. The junk that caused the problem is still in there. I do a fresh install by formatting the OS partition, first.
