Changing Button Thumbnail Images

ktd316

Question

Hello,

I am trying to change the button thumbnail images in MyDVD - the project I am currently working on has 3 slideshows, and the thumbnail images have defaulted to the first picture in each slideshow. However, for each slideshow I have inserted a color panel with text before the first picture (a title slide if you will) - it is this color panel that I would like to appear as the thumbnail image for each. The Help File lists:

Changing button thumbnail images

Some buttons can include a thumbnail image, which by default shows the first frame of the linked production, or a thumbnail of the linked menu. You can also choose any graphic or video file as the thumbnail image. By default, button thumbnails are animated, using a short segment of the linked production or menu.

To change a button’s thumbnail image:

On the menu, click the button to select it.

Choose DVD Menu > Select Thumbnail to open a preview of the thumbnail.

Use the preview settings to locate the image you want to use, and then click OK.

The thumbnail image is replaced.

I have followed the instrcutions and can change the thumbnail image to a different picture in the slideshow, but not to the color panels with text. Is this just impossible?

Thank you,

Katie

Yes it is possible, you can also fully customize any menu i.e. text location, size, color, link color... (I am referring to a making music DVD but it could be the same for the other ones.)

I will post a How-To ASAP.
