Text Time Question

HRPufnstuf65

Question

Hi gang, I'm back.......With a question..... I'll try to express it as clearly as i can....

I'm putting a production together using different mpgs and I want to both insert colored panels with text in between, as well as add text right to the clips themselves, which I did successfully. The issue arises during playback- the text from a colored panel will remain into the next mpeg, or it remains from one mpeg into the next when that's not what I need it to do. Sometimes the text will just come on for a few seconds and then disappear, which is better then the above mentioned situation.

Is there a way to control the amount of time that text appears over the clips/ colored panel?

Again- thanks in advance!!

If you add the text to the internal track of the color panel, it will display for only as long as that image is displayed. Select the color panel and select internal track. Perhaps this demo video will help.

That should work for both the color panel and for the mpg. The easier way for the mpg is to be in the timeline mode and make sure that you can see the text track. Just shorten it to fit only that one mpg by holding your cursor at the end of the text track and about half way up. You shoud see a double ended arrow that you can move to the left to shorten the hold time.
