I'm ON FIRE-After install 70-90% processor usage-won't stop

I have installed 8 two times before with no issues (and it is on my computer). My boss came to me and wanted it on his, so I found a deal on 8 and put it on yesterday. From the time I rebooted the system and my CPU usage went up to 100% and basically stays there. Looking at the processes and CPU usage, the process that is causing the problem is "RoxmediaDB.EXE" . I know it is Roxio, what is it and what can I do to fix it? I don't care if you reboot OR stop THAT process it comes back with a vengeance and basically turns the computer into maple syrup.

 

The box is:

ASUS Terminator w/1.8ghz

512 ram

XP home

Go to start, run msconfig

Uncheck RoxWatchTray.exe in the startup files

Reboot, tell the nag screen that "Yes I do KNOW I disabled a start item - now go away and don't pester me again"

 

It is a resource hog unfortunately
