Text on color panel

BillB

Question

I've spent days, yes days, trying to set the length of time the text I wrote stays on the color panel. I've followed Roxio's directions as given in its Help Page; "Changing where a text effect starts and ends." It says in one place to "drag the Efect End marker to the new position. The marker won't drag.

Advice in these olumns suggest working in the Internal Track mode. Except that mode is not available in a color panel. I am able to create the text on the panel but it won't stay more than 2 seconds. Is there a solution?

Did you watch this video - the second one down.

Internal track is selected by clicking on the color panel in storyline mode and then select internal track just above the images. The markers are just below the preview screen. They should be two of them in yellow.

Tried to post this, but got some error:

Yes you can edit start and end of the internal track of the colour panel in Videowave.

In Videowave do the following:

Story line view, add colour panel, set its duration, click done.

Add text effect, add it to internal track.

Click done bottom left.

edit text as you want (scrolling or other effects, etc.)

Click done at bottom left.

Switch to timeline view. Adjust the timeline scale asconvenient.

Right click on the colour panel, click edit, click edit internal tracks.

The internal track shows as a separate line. Click on it to highlight it, drag it to the right to start later than the beginning of the colour panel. Grab the right edge and drag to the left to have it end before the end of the panel.

Click done bottom left.
