2 questions - extracting audio from video

ericuf

Question

Hi .... If i have a video file on my computer, but I just want the AUDIO from it, is there a way to extract the audio and then SAVE only the audio as a seperate file?

Also, how do I extract the audio from dvd's that I may own?? I know there's a way to do this (it says so on the box,) but can't figure out which program component to use. Thanks!!!

Extracting audio

In Videowave, click on "Show Media Selector", navigate to the folder where the video file is located, right click on the video file and one of the options is to extract audio.

Extracting audio from DVD

Open Music Disc Creator. One of the options is to "Import from CD/DVD".

Note also tho that if the DVD's are copy protected (as most commercially sold ones are), you probably won;t be able to "extract" the audio from them.
