Menu doesn't function after DVD burn

Artrail

Question

:( I have created a DVD with four titles and added my music to the menu. When I burn the DVD I can't use the menu buttons for 30 seconds after beginning to play and the music doesn't play. After thirty seconds the buttons suddenly become active and I can select a title to play. If I go back to the menu, I have to wait another thirty seconds before the buttons become active again. Any ideas?

Did you ever get an answer? I am having the same problem. My first test CD worked fine. but I wanted to change the backgrounds to that of another menu. now I get no menu. even durring the burn process it shows creating the menus.

I assume you meant DVD or SVCD rather than VCD. As stated, a VCD doesn't have a menu. First make sure that you did not change the project type when you opened MyDVD. Top menu - File>New. VCDs and DVD with no menu don't have menus so make sure you selected the right project type.

Where are you having problems playing the DVD? On your computer or on a DVD player? Clean both.

Get rid of all malware and defrag your hard drive on the computer. What program are you using to play the file?

If a DVD player, get a disc cleaner or blow out the inside with canned, dry air. What disc type and manufacturer are you using? Put the disc in your computer and use DVD Info Pro (under tools) to look for burn errors. If you have the problem with your DVD player, it sounds like it is having trouble finding the right spots. It may be time for a new one. Take the disc to an electronics stork and see if it will play on one of their players. Look at the cheaper ones first; they seem to play a wider variety of home burned discs.

Did you encode to an ISO file first and then copy that to your disc at less than the max speed?
