I have used Roxio Easy CD Creator 6.0 on an XP machine to do a full format of a CD-RW disc. Then I could use the disc just like any hard drive or floppy, saving or replacing individual data files to the CD-RW disc from any program. I have always had very good luck doing this and overwriting individual files directly from Word or Excel or other programs many, many times. I assume this feature is available in Easy Media Creator 9.0, but in reading the posts about D2D, they all talk about burning data and leaving the disc open to add more data, which is what I do when backing up a program I have downloaded, so I couldn't tell for sure. I just got my first DVD-RW drive and I am wondering if Easy Media Creator 9.0 will also allow me to save and replace individual data files to a DVD-RW, just like a CD-RW, from any program also?
