roxio creator has stopped working

hello can anyone help me with my roxio central. i just have a new pc with roxio creator pre-installed in it. at first its working but now it has stopped working. there's a popup window from microsoft windows that say "a program caused a program to stop working correctly. windows will close program and and notify you if a solution is available." i hope someone could help me. by the way my os is window vista home basic.

CD... is correct about contacting the builder or supplier that you got your computer from regarding your problem. AND, you should have received some kind of program CD for the installed programs that they installed, OR at least have a folder on the HD where that BU stuff is stored. I suggest that you bug the supplier for a copy of the program for backup purposes !!! And there is always the possibility that you could remove the existing program and then get another download for the program from the supplier. I would much rather have a program CD myself.

still cant open the roxio easy media creator basic it said that the certificate is missing or been corrupted. i install and reinstall it thrice but still the same but the express labeler is working fine. i even use the windows clean up but still the same. hope anyone could help me.

Contact the OEM provider, its their version of Roxio.

i able to re-install it through recovery manager but this time it say that the certificate was corrupted and now im trying to uninstall it and reinstall again hope that it will work now.

i have the same problem. i bought the software direct from roxio. the temporary solution is that first connect to the intenet and then open the roxio and it will open. that is the way i am working at the moment.

i will be interested if you find the permanent solution

Have you tried a repair install yet? Could be that something else you installed corrupted it.

What version of Roxio came installed on your system?

If you downloaded from Roxio, you should have kept the two files.

 

These are actually self-extract and install archives and can be opened with winzip or winrar and the contents extracted to a folder. There's no need to connect anywhere to get inside them

 

The OP did NOT have the downloads - he had a basic OEM version (a different thing entirely)

its roxio creator v9. i try to repair it but the choice is only uninstall. i dont have a back up copy of roxio coz it was pre installed in my system.

Contact the system builder for support, they installed the product on the machine.
