Menu How To ?

FwFdfireman

Question

I know there are various topics on menus and maybe I missed what I am looking for. Have read some of the excellant tutes some have put out, but really didn't find it there either.

My Question....Can someone direct me to the info or if it's not too long a precess, describe how to make a SIMPLE Menu that has a One Title and one button (Title could also act as a "play" link) to play the entire DVD.

I realize I am new to Roxio and so far really like it.......still learning it, but seems to me setting up a Menu has got to be one of the more confusing aspects of it all.

Thx in advance.

If you open MyDVD, it already has a default menu (and background audio). To add your production (the one you created in Videowave) as a title, click Add Photo/Video and select the Videowave dmsm file. That will create a button showing the title of the production. You can edit the text of the title. That button is already linked to the prodcution.

Select "Change Menu Styles" if you're not happy with the default one.

Click the Preview icon on the top of MyDVD to review the project.

If you're satisfied, click the Burn icon and save the project as an image file.

Then you burn the image file (*.ISO) onto DVD using Disc Copier.

Thx malatekid........but let me ask this. My project currently has four (4) Videowave dmsm files. I want to load all 4 of them into MyDVD and only have ONE title and ONE play button to play them all, seeing as they are all part of ONE movie. Would I do this the same way as you describe?

Or do I need to combine them in Videowave and create a new dmsm with all 4 combined as ONE movie first?

Combine the 4 dmsm and create a new dmsm. The new one is the one you bring in MyDVD.

Another work around, render each .dmsm project out to MPG files. You can then select more than one MPG in MyDVD for one button.

I find that to be strange quirk of MyDVD that you can not select more than one .dmsm file for one button, but you can select more than one MPG or still images.

Excellent point, Gary! And if I remember correctly (I'm not in front of PC with EMC9), if you select all mpg files, MyDVD gives you the option of playing all as one title or as separate titles. This will be a great enhancement to adopt for selecting more than one dmsm file.
