gi7omy
I had to fix a computer for a customer - thing was so badly hit with trojans, etc, I reformatted and re-installed. I then ran Windows Update and went down the 'critical' list and couldn't see IE7 at all. I switched to the 'optional' updates and there it was Seems MS have finally accepted that anyone with sense doesn't want it pushed on to their computer
Patty
I noticed that, and was pleased. MS must have received many complaints about it.
Guest ml
Finally! Thanks for letting us know. My fingers were getting tired of telling people to remove that 'critical update.'
Larry
Finally, some good news outta MS. Too bad they aren't being so nice with the DST update.
golinux
Finally, some good news outta MS. Too bad they aren't being so nice with the DST update. Also too bad that MS does not offer an XP or Vista option on a new computer.
wraithtdk
It's a shame, really, it seems like IE7 went backward between RC1 and the final release. I actually really like the browser itself, but on XP machines, it consistantly seems to slow things down.

Don't overlook the fact that MS decided to try to re-write the web standards with it @lol:
bds1958
I don't appear to have a problem with it. What am I doing wrong?
lynn98109
I don't appear to have a problem with it. What am I doing wrong? I suspect you have EMC 9. It trashes 7 and 8, and probably 6. Versions 5 and below were dealt with by SP2. Part of Microsoft's ongoing attempt to sell software, I suppose. Lynn
