Can't get my audio track names to show after burning

AlCapone

Question

I import audio tracks produced in a sesequence editor (digital Performer), into Toast, and name the tracks with appropriate titles for each of the 'songs' in the Toast window.

But after burning the tracks are named track 1, track2, etc !!!

How do I get the track names I want to be shown.

The Mac OS does not read CD Text from discs. You can use the applescript "CD Text to CD Info" available at dougscripts.com to transfer the CD Text information to the CD info database file that iTunes keeps on your Mac. Otherwise you'll need to enter the artist/album/track info manually in iTunes. You can see that the CD Text information is on the disc by inserting the disc and choosing Disc Info in the Toast Recorder menu.

Jam 6 did something that Toast 8 is not doing... That's the problem... -Mike-

Actually the Mac reads names just fine, Toast 8 is at fault and Toast 8 really sucks. Jam 6 did this just fine. the Mac works fine and any commercially recorded CD or most CDs burned with things other than Toast 8 work fine. Toast 8 is really poor in this regard. Use Toast 6 with Jam and it will work the way you want.
