ggrussell
Need more information on what you are doing. If you add an image to a Videowave that is NOT exactly 4:3 in aspect ratio, Videowave will automatically add a black border (top or bottom) to make it 4:3. Same applies to 16:

ggrussell
4:3 is almost 'square'. All digital cameras use this aspect ratio. If you are scanning a 4X6 print, the aspect ratio is more like 16:9, widescreen. When you add that to 4:3, you will get borders at the top and bottom to make it 4:3. If you want to get rid of the borders, you can use pan/zoom to zoom in on the image which will cut off the edges on left/right.
