I dont know what you mean, but all of them are video clips

I mean its movies and they are mininmum 60-90 min. long.

Are these divx movies? Right click the file and go to properties and then go to the Advanced tab and see what they are.

If these are xvid or some other format, you may not have the right codecs for them. That opens up another can of worms as it seems like you are very unfamiliar with these types of files and I'm reluctant to make some suggestions unless you have someone a bit more knowledgeable to help you. But first, we have to find out exactly what the problem is.

There is a niftly free program called Gspot with which you can import one of these files and it will tell you what type of file it is and what codecs it needs to run on your system and most important, it will tell you if you have the codecs on your system to play these files. See if you can download it and give it a try.

Well, that is PAL because it's russian ;) .I am from Russia, but i live in states now and here is NTCS.

Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2

HP Pavilion

2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium D

16 kilobyte primary memory cache

1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache

250.03 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity

So,do you htink i can do something to convert them to good quality?? :(

Please your video card/chip information or the model number of your computer.

So you have avi files that are PAL and want to convert and burn the files to US NTSC. Or vice versa? Are you trying to play those files on a US DVD player? It won't play them well. There are some players that will play both but I think you may have to tell them PAL or NTSC.

When you went to burn the AVI files, did you burn them as PAL ?

OK,properties:

Image-

Width 576 pixels

Height 336 pixels

Audio-

Duration any long

Bit Rate 128 kbps

Audio format MPEG Layer-3

Video-

Frame Rate 25 frames/second

Data Rate 136 kbps

Video sample size 24 bit

Video compression DivX Codec.

What means interlacing??? :o

I use Easy Media Creator 9,got it at the store.I am really stupid about computer specs and english is not my native language,so i dont really good at that stuff....sorry :( .

Can you tell what do you want to know about my computer,please......

Where are you located? That 25 frames per second is definitely outside the US since it is "PAL" color encoding system.

Use Belarc Advisor (link above) to determine what you have. Look at some of the other signatures and post that type of information. Don't post all of the information that you get from Belarc. Post things like pocessor speed, video card/chip (especially that), hard drive free space, operating system (XP home or pro or Vista). If you have a standard computer with no add ons, you can post the manufacturer and model..

Please post your computer specs. If you don't know them, download and run Belarc Advisor. It will tell you everything you want to know about your computer. Look at other's signatures and put that information in your signature. Use the My Controls at the top of the page and then look to the left to edit signature. It will show up in all your posts.

Just to check, are you running Easy Media creator V9 or something that came with your computer?

Are you doing anything with Hi Def? Where did you get the videos? Are they commercially produced that may have DRM protection? If so, that may be your problem.

I wish I could see what this looks like. Are all your video drivers up to date? Do you have the latest DirectX version? I'm not sure what the problem is. It could be an interlacing problem too.

Off Topic

Steve (the other one),

very usefull tool. I needed a utility to find MS Office 2000 CD-Key on a W98se machine, the people lost the key but have the discs, needed to reinstall. Alot of utilities out there but for some reason one to find MS Office 2000 was not there or didn't work! Belarc Advisor found it with no problem!
