Programme calibration error!

Hi I am using a HP DVD Writer 740r preinstalled to my system HP Pavillion Media centre and I had the following error meassage trying to burn a dvd DL on MyDVD media v7.

 

" Device Error

 

Sense Code (3 73 3)

 

Power calibration area error

 

Sequential write

 

2130932483"

 

I have tried with success burning with a normal blank DVD 4.7. After the above error issue.

 

I was using Datawrite titanium DL dvd+r.

 

Any advice much appreciated.

Power Calibration Area errors generally indicate a basic incompatibility between the burner and the media.

 

 

 

Try a different brand of disc (use a DVD -RW till you find the problem).

I couldn't find any reference to a 740r on HP's site (altho there are 740i, 740e and a couple others listed), but the 740 ones they show do all say they should write to DVD+R DL. You should check to see if there is a firmware update available for your drive.

Try updating your PX Engine along with searching for new firmware
