eyetv file format not accepted/ media browser issue

I try to drag my eyetv files from finder into toast 8, but toast 8 would not accept these files, saying that it cannot import this kind of file format.

 

When I try to use the media browser to add my eyetv programs to toast 8, only the ones stored in a certain folder appears in the media browser, but not the rest. That is still the case even after I

 

1) open the eyetv files stored in other folders so that they appear in the eyetv program window, or

2) copy the eyetv files stored in other folders into the folder where the eyetv programs do appear in the meida browser

 

The only way I can get my eyetv files stored in the other folders into toast 8 is to open them first so that they appear in the eyetv program window, and then drag the files from the eyetv program window to toast.

 

Does anyone have the same experience? If so, is there anyway round it so that I can just either drag the eyetv files from finder straight into toast 8, or to cofigure the media browser so that it can "see" all the eyetv files in the eyetv program window?

Easiest thing might be to create aliases to EyeTV recordings from different locations in the EyeTV Archive folder you've configured in EyeTV so those recordings will show up in both EyeTV's Recordings list and Toast's Media Browser.
