Background Color on Slideshow

SueG

Question

I am using PhotoSuite to put 4 digital pictures per slide, saving as a JPEG file and then putting in the DVD program to make a DVD with music. How do I put a background color on all of the slides? Thanks!

Photosuite allows you to color the canvas to what you want. That's where you put the color background.

BUT there may be a better way that will give you more options. Use Video Wave, go to storyboard view and add a color panel -- select the first space and right click it to get the option for color panel. Now switch to the timeline view and add an image to one of the five overlay tracks. Double click on it and you should get a window that will allow you to place it, to size it, to rotate it AND to have it move in and out. You can keep the images static or something more dynamic. Repeat for the four other images. If you have another set of four, you can add another color panel and add the four to that one. Repeat as necessary. Remember to keep all your images in the TV safe zone. If you want, just make the first color image long and keep moving the images in and out as you wish by adding then to the overlay in the timeline view and moving them to the time where you want them to show.

As an alternate, use the Slide Show Assistant under the Photo tab and select the 2 by 2 collage or the 2 by two extreme. You can save the file and then do your final editing in Video Wave.
