lynn98109
The last work they did on Platinum was April 23, 2003; the last work on Basic was May 13, 2003. The last Drive-Up patch "5.3.5.10v" to support newer burners was December 15, 2004. WinXP has basic CD musisc and data burning built-in, and Vista adds basic DVD burning. You might check if that does what you need. Lynn
philbox
No. Only EMC9 is compatible with Vista and Roxio won't be updating older versions to work with new OS's. tHANKS But that really sucks. At this point I am most concerend for my cover art. i have over 200 made for live performance cd's. Do you know if there's a way to convert them to 9??? Or if not some way to get ride of those driver error messages?? As I said (or I think I did) I was able to install it and can access the cover art. But it won't burn because it needs the drivers ( the problem) But is there a way to get rid of those driver error messages??? Or C'mon Roxio............do an update. I loved 5 and I will miss it Thanks Phil
gi7omy
There is NO way 5 will be updated ever To save the pics - if you can load them up into a graphics program (even MS Paint) and save them from there. Then you can import them into EMC9 (which is the ONLY one which works in Vista)

For that matter, XP SP2 isn't even a supported OS for v

I have no idea how to do what you say These are the cd lables and cover art I made form the Label program. gi7omy
If you have a computer that can still run ECD5, then open the .jwl files, view them on screen, use Print Screen command, paste that into a graphics program, trim and save - then you have them as jpg, bmp or whatever. Hey and thanks I am trying that and am having some sucess. But am still having an issue When I'm looking at the jwl file it does not appear all on the screen. I have to scroll up and down, left and right to see it all. So when I "print screen" I am only getting a partial view. I have tried zooming out to get it all into view. But when I go thru the process and view it as a jpeg I have lost considerable quality. Any idea on that??? I want to say thanks for this. I had no idea you can do that and to be honest I nver liked making them all in the lable maker. it was always incompatible with other software. But I had started and done to many of these before I knew any better. Anyway, let me know if you have an idea on that Thanks again Phil
gi7omy
a bit of a long-winded, round the houses for a shortcut would be to print out the labels on plain paper and then scan them back in.
Brendon
Can you increase your screen resolution Phil, and that way view and screenshot the whole file? Rightclick on an open area of your screen, and select Properties / Settings and see what your screen resolution is set to. If it's 640x480, try 800x600 or 1024x768. Keep advancing until either you can see the whole .JWL display or your monitor can't hold synch and runs haywire. You get a box to check when changing resolution, and if the picture breaks up you'll return to the previous resolution after 15 seconds so trying this won't get you stuck with an unreadable screen.
