computer freezes while recording audio tape

Question

I bought Easy Creator 9.0 direct from Roxio and downloaded it on Nov 9. Below is a copy of the order

Customer Number: **********

Order Number: **********

Order Date: Nov 2, 2006 4:07:41 PM

Yesterday I connected a tape player to the microphone input of a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook, running XP2 home edition. I have 1.25 gig RAM AND 60 MEG hard drive. I opened CD creator and the tape to cd utility in it. The recording proceeded well for about 30 minutes, but then the program stopped working. I could no longer turn it off by clicking on the cross at the top right hand corner, and even Ctr-Alt-Del did not work. All other programs on the computer also froze. I had to turn the computer off using the on-off button. After that it would not reboot properly.

Today I was able to do a system restore, so that all other programs load properly and I can get on to the Internet. One point might help is that the notebook has pre-installed Dell Jukebox Music-match. Is this causing the trouble?

I would value your help, because as of now your program is useless for the purpose for which I bought it.

This is a user forum spnsored by Roxio/Sonic that is open to the public, not their tech support. To contact them you can try this link foEMC9 or maybe one of your fellow users will be able to help you here with your post.

When posting here, you are not contacting them and anything you post can be seen by anyone, including hackers and spammers so I edted out your private order info so hopefully not too many havve seen it yet.
