A Thumbs Up for Roxio

FwFdfireman

Question

Just wanted to give a thumbs up for Roxio EMC9.

I initially purchased Nero7 and installed. Right off the bat, I had issues out the whazoo! Crashes, PC lock-ups when using it and could rarely get through a burn to HD OR disc without errors and cancelling the burn.

For two weeks I played with that thing trying to get it to work so I could create my little home project. No luck. So I went out and purchased EMC-9.

Now I had to learn a new program interface and terminology. Finally got my project done and in doing so, learned some EMC basics. Much more to learn.

Here is my "thumbs-up". FOR ME, Roxio EMC9 worked flawlessly. Everything went fine in creation, burning to HD and burning to disc. No errors no nada!

I can only guess that my machine is picky about what I put on it. I am not bashing Nero as it works great for many....just didn't for me.

Looking forward to learning ALL the how-tos with Roxio.

As everyone else has already said Fireman---It's really nice to hear that you are running EMC and doing some great work using it. Thanks from me too for the positive post. I too believe that there are a whole lot of users out there that are using Roxio's EMC programs and not having the problems that you often see here on this forum. And there is just a wealth of good informtion posted on the forum that will helps everyone that is using EMC to become a whole lot better at what they are doing.

Have fun Fireman and if you have any good stuff to share, by all means come on back and share it with all of us other users.

What are your computer specs? I have not had a positive experience and I am curious what machine and OS, etc. is the silver bullet to the problems.

Just added my Specs to my Sig. If it's tooooooo long, let me know admins. It's a cutom built for gaming.......my main priority! Here's a few pics.:

WOW!! You guys are HOT with the puns. It's all good.

Unfortunately....all we did yesterday and last night was run "Sick Call", headaches, "I don't feel good", BS runs. No fires last shift.

Like you guys have said, I am sure there are tons of peeps out there that have, use and have NO problems with Roxio. At least none that I have run into yet. All seems to be stable and working as advertised.....and nowadays.........that's something.

It's refreshing to see a postive comment. I am sure there are many. many users out there that have no problems with the program but do not take the time to post that fact. Heck, if you don't have problems, maybe most users do not even know this forum exists. :)

Thanks again for sharing your success and do come back to help others.

You bet I will be back....great place with a wealth of knowledge.

Many, many times, I have installed software and there are a few bugs to work out. Have usually been successful, but now and then there is one that no matter what you do........you can't get that bugger to work right. That's what happened with Nero and me.

Roxio was one of the recommendations so I read up on it. What caught my eye in their advertisement was that it was made with "dual core processors in mind", (or something to that effect) which I have. So maybe that was the issue with me between Nero not working and EMC9 working.....dunno.

As far as helping others....sure I will. Right now I can tell anyone how to start the program. LOL

I have a lot to learn before I delve into the throwing out advice, unless it is VERY basic, at this point. I am looking forward to learning all the intracacies of Roxio EMC9 and what I can do with it.
