The codec (Xvid) is installed for the move which I'm trying to burn.

avi covers a multitude of sins - XVid, DivX and so on.

You would need to check which codec is used in the movie by using gspot, available free from here. Check the file with that and then download and install the appropriate codec

If you updated your divx codec (whether on purpose or on it's own) you may need to correct it by using the info provided here. It's worth checking on the file types installed on your system to see whether it's been changed.

In addition, to what the Guru's have mentioned, also make sure your video card and other drivers are up to date (Windows Media Player, DirectX etc).

Also, there have been similar issues with themes and buttons as described in this article.

I'm thinking step two may be worth a shot for your situation.

Thanks,

Jon
