"This disk is incompatible with the source disk"

Chad Bert

Question

I am trying to burn an ".iso" file to a double layered DVD. My drive specs say I should be able to do this, but I get this error each time ""This disk is incompatible with the source disk". I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong? I've checked for updated drive 'drivers' and there are none!?!?!? Any thoughts?

How are you trying to do this?

Normally all you do is to open the .iso file with Disc Copy and that creates the DVD - you don't 'copy' the .iso itself (think of it as an archive with all the data stored inside that is 'opened' when you write it to DVD)

Try my posted work around below:

This disc is incompatible with the source disc

Hope this helps!
